Are you ready to start making your own clothes? In this class you will learn how to read and follow a sewing pattern while making a pair of pajama pants. We will go over how to determine your size, simple adjustments, plus tips and tricks to make the process easier.
Skills you will learn in class:
o It’s usually different than your clothing store size!
o Making simple changes to a pattern to make it more accurately fit you
o Pattern piece placement to ensure everything fits on your fabric
o Paying attention to fabric print direction so nothing ends up upside down
o Learning about grainlines and why it’s so important to follow them
o How to cut your pieces out
o Confidence in understanding and following the directions and knowing when it’s ok to make changes to make things easier.
SKILL LEVEL: ADVANCED BEGINNER
You should have previous machine sewing experience and have completed several projects. Please email erin@pacificfabrics.com if you are unsure if your skill level is appropriate.
PREREQUISITE: Sewing 101 or equivalent experience.
